The Problem:

Equazen wanted to build a deeper relationship with parents and carers by moving the brand beyond a conversation about supplements and into family life.

Essential fatty acids support good health and brain development, but educating parents about their importance can easily become clinical and product-led.

We needed to make Equazen feel relevant during the everyday moments when young minds are being nurtured.

The MindField Thinking:

We begin with dreams. Dreams that need to be nurtured, with a little help along the way.

Bedtime stories play an important role in childhood. They bring families together, unlock imagination and allow children to explore new feelings, experiences and ideas in a safe environment.

By creating something parents and children would actively choose to spend time with, Equazen could become part of the bedtime routine rather than simply another product being advertised to them.

The Answer: Poppy & Zander

An original series of bedtime stories set in Zen Forest and featuring two unlikely best friends: Poppy the Polar Bear and Zander the Gander.

Across five original adventures, the characters encounter new challenges and discover the value of kindness, courage, patience, teamwork and believing in themselves. Each story gently reinforces the wider campaign message: “Not all great minds think alike.”

The stories were produced as a podcast series and brought to life by renowned character voice actor Marc Silk (Star Wars, Bob The Builder, LEGO Movie), whose performance gave every corner of Zen Forest its own personality.

A dedicated Poppy & Zander website gave families a home for the stories and downloadable books, placing Equazen at the heart of a joyful bedtime experience designed to nurture and inspire young minds.
